Commercial & Technology Associate / Senior Associate | 2+ PQE National Firm | Birmingham | Full or Part-Time (4 Days) Are you a talented Commercial lawyer with a passion for tech and a desire to work in a collaborative, forward-thinking team? Our client, a leading national firm, is looking to strengthen its Commercial offering in Birmingham with the addition of a Commercial Associate, Senior Associate, or Legal Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked team, working with a diverse client base across the private, public, and health sectors. The team offers a supportive, close-knit environment with genuine flexibility - including part-time (4 days) and hybrid working options. The Opportunity As a Commercial Associate or Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering complex, high-quality legal advice. Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising public and private sector clients on the procurement, licensing, and supply of technology products and services.
• Acting on major, long-term commercial projects for NHS bodies, local authorities, central government agencies, and private companies.
• Supporting a wide range of work including outsourcing, IT infrastructure, support service agreements, electronic patient records, and grant funding systems.
• Collaborating closely with partners across the firm's national network as well as locally in Birmingham.

• A qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales and 2+ years' post-qualification experience. No upper PQE limit.
• Solid experience in commercial contracts, ideally including exposure to technology law.
• (Desirable) Experience in non-contentious IP matters such as brand strategy, licensing, and exploitation.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-handling skills.
• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to lead on complex matters and support junior team members.
• A genuine interest in tech and innovation within legal practice.
