Salaried GP - Abbey Medical Group

We are recruiting a permanent Salaried GP to join our team working up to 8 sessions per week.

Abbey Medical Group provides care to approximately 12,600 patients across our two surgeries in Ravenshead and Blidworth. We are a friendly, forward-thinking practice with a strong emphasis on teamwork, professional development and delivering high-quality patient care.

Our team includes 7 GP Partners, experienced Nursing and Healthcare Assistant colleagues, who work alongside a dedicated administrative and management team. We work closely with a well-established multidisciplinary team through Sherwood Primary Care Network, including Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics, Mental Health Practitioners, Social Prescribers and First Contact Physiotherapists.

Ravenshead and Blidworth are attractive and well-connected Nottinghamshire villages located on the edge of the iconic Sherwood Forest. Famous as the legendary home of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, the area is steeped in history and folklore. The story of Robin Hood, standing up for ordinary people and supporting local communities, remains an enduring part of the area’s identity and character.

The villages combine a strong sense of community with beautiful countryside, woodland walks and excellent local amenities, while offering convenient access to Nottingham, Mansfield and the wider East Midlands. It is an ideal location for those seeking an excellent work-life balance.

The role will include face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, reviewing results and correspondence, clinical administration and working alongside the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. Our paramedic, clinical pharmacists, First Contact Practitioners and wider clinical team also provide excellent support with patient care and workload across the practice.
