What you will do: * Conduct comprehensive Initial Assessments to identify the needs, strengths, and risks affecting children and families. * Undertake assessments under the single assessment framework and ensure all statutory requirements are met. * Initiate Care Proceedings where appropriate and progress cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences. * Develop effective care plans and provide information, advice, and signposting to relevant support services. * Carry out detailed risk assessments to safeguard the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people. * Prepare reports for Child Protection Conferences and actively participate in safeguarding meetings. * Draft high-quality court statements and support applications for Emergency Protection Orders and Care Orders where necessary. * Attend court hearings and provide professional evidence and recommendations. * Undertake home visits to assess living conditions, monitor progress, and support safeguarding interventions. * Chair and facilitate meetings with families, professionals, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes. * Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and other agencies to coordinate effective support for children and families. * Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records in line with legislation, policy, and professional standards.
