About the role
We are currently seeking experienced Overhead Line Technicians (LE1) to join our Power Transmission & Distribution team.
Due to increased project demand, opportunities are available across multiple locations in England and Wales , supporting a range of high-profile infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and refurbishing high voltage overhead power transmission lines , ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity are consistently achieved.
What you'll be doing
- Install, build and maintain overhead line systems up to 400kV
- Carry out key OHL activities including running out conductors, clamping, jointing and spacering
- Work in line with method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Maintain high standards of health and safety on site at all times
- Work collaboratively as part of a gang to deliver operational efficiency across projects
- Use specialist plant, tools and equipment safely and effectively (including climbing, lifting and fall arrest systems)
- Support training and mentoring of junior team members where required
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience in overhead line operations or construction environments
- Strong understanding of the power transmission industry
- Ability to work at height and in physically demanding conditions
- Commitment to health, safety and quality standards
- Flexibility to travel and work across the UK as required
- Full UK driving licence

- OHL authorisations and plant tickets
- Emergency First Aid certification
