Programme Co-ordinator: Co-curriculum and Enrichment

£35k per annum
Full-time

We Are

The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.

We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 300 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.

Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.

As our Co-Curricular and Enrichment programmes continue to flourish, we are seeking an exceptional professional to join our team as Programme Co-ordinator: Co-Curriculum and Enrichment.

We are looking for a dynamic, delivery-focused individual who can provide robust operational leadership and meticulous administrative management across our daily activities, enrichment events and holiday camps. We are seeking an energetic team player who can ensure seamless logistics and deliver the highest standards of student experience and safety within our prestigious boarding environment.

About the Role

The Programme Co-ordinator plays a pivotal operational role in the vibrant non-academic life of the School. This hands-on position bridges day-to-day administrative management with live activity coordination, serving as the operational engine of our Co-Curricular department.

You will oversee the smooth running of our daily timetables, support the delivery of our "Explore Week" initiatives, manage external activity providers, and act as the on-site Lead for our growing Holiday Camp provision. By taking charge of these critical operations and administrative checks, you will enable the Director of Student Experience to focus on strategic development of the Co-curricular and Enrichment offering at RAAS.

Located within our beautiful estate, the school offers a welcoming and purposeful environment. Our dedicated team works collaboratively across the campus to provide a safe, enriching, and inspiring experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme and Daily Logistics: Oversee the day-to-day co-curricular timetable using school systems (SIMS/SOCS), resolve venue/facility clashes, track student attendance, and brief House staff and Tutors on schedule changes.

  • External Provider Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external activity providers and sports coaches, maintaining live compliance trackers for safeguarding, DBS checks, and insurance.

  • Whole-School Enrichment and "Explore Week": Support the logistical execution of enrichment sessions and major events, coordinating large-scale student movements, guest speakers and external providers in collaboration with the Director of Student Experience.

  • Holiday Camps (On-Site Lead): Act as the on-site Camp Director during holiday periods - managing daily staff timetables, conducting safety inductions, and handling incident management and parent queries.

  • Educational Visits and Trips: Provide technical support and advice to staff on trip processes and workflows, manage transport requirements, and maintain the central master calendar.

  • Parent and Stakeholder Liaison: Handle parental queries regarding allocations, delays, or session changes with professional judgment and excellent communication.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience working in fast-paced logistical, administrative, or multi-activity programme environments (e.g., sports camps, youth enrichment, or residential schools and programmes).

  • Possesses advanced organisational skills, an ability to manage competing deadlines, and familiarity with activity/school systems.

  • Demonstrates a high-energy, "can-do" attitude with exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a calm approach under pressure.

  • Embodies our core values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, and Respect in all interactions with students, staff, parents, and external providers.

  • Holds a full UK driving licence with (or commitment to obtain) D1 entitlement.

Why Join Us?

At The Royal Alexandra and Albert School, we are extremely proud of our rich heritage, yet pride ourselves on being future-focused. We believe that attracting and retaining the best talent is fundamental to driving our school forward.

We offer a dynamic, supportive working environment where your operational expertise directly enhances the student experience. You will work alongside a passionate team, enjoy working on our stunning Gatton Park estate, and benefit from ongoing professional development and training opportunities. Staff have access to the onsite gym, extensive sporting facilities, the swimming pool and can engage in a programme of staff activities throughout the academic year.
