Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Glasgow, Lanarkshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
What will your responsibilities be?
This role involves working within a community setting, providing specialist psychiatric care to older adults. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and overseeing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health services. The postholder will also participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
• GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
• Extensive experience in old age psychiatry, particularly in community settings
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• A commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care
