The Role

A progressive Secondary School in Oxford is seeking a professional, analytical, and highly organised Psychology & Sociology Teacher to join their highly successful Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will split their instructional focus between empirical research methodologies, cognitive development, and biopsychology at A-Level, alongside the sociology of education, crime and deviance, social stratification frameworks, and empirical research methodologies across GCSE and Key Stage 5 specification tracks. Beyond classroom teaching, you will be expected to construct precise student progress tracking portfolios, manage internal departmental communications, update school tracking software, and actively coordinate social research projects and university outreach paths.

Requirements

• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related social science discipline

• Previous experience delivering Psychology and Sociology specifications up to A-Level with strong academic results

• Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking systems and managing student portfolios

• Professional and proactive approach to monitoring student metrics and running practical research evaluations
