We're looking for a Retail Volunteering Co-ordinator to play a vital role in supporting and growing our retail volunteer network. Every volunteer makes a difference, and in this role you'll help recruit, engage, and support the incredible individuals who enable our retail operations to thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating projects, using digital tools, and helping people feel valued and supported throughout their volunteering journey.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Retail Volunteering Co-ordinator, you'll be at the heart of delivering a positive and effective volunteer experience across our retail locations.
Salary
£29,239 per annum
Working Hours
35 hours per week (agile working between 7.00am - 7.00pm)
Contract
Fixed Term for 14 months
Your responsibilities will include:
Recruiting and Growing Our Volunteer Team
Leading local and digital volunteer recruitment activities across our retail operations.
Supporting advertising campaigns and developing partnerships with community groups, organisations, and other volunteer referral sources.
Identifying innovative ways to attract and retain volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
Delivering an Outstanding Volunteer Experience
Ensuring every volunteer enjoys a welcoming, consistent, and engaging journey from initial enquiry through to ongoing involvement.
Helping volunteers feel informed, valued, and connected to our mission at every stage of their volunteering experience.
Supporting volunteer recognition, engagement, and celebration activities.
Coordinating Processes and Maintaining Compliance
Managing the retail volunteer recruitment and onboarding process.
Ensuring volunteering policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are followed across retail locations.
Maintaining accurate records using CRM systems, volunteer management systems, and other digital tracking tools.
Supporting and Developing Volunteer Managers
Providing practical guidance, training, and support to retail teams managing volunteers.
Offering advice and solutions to help resolve challenges and ensure volunteers are effectively supported and deployed.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve volunteer engagement.
Monitoring performance against recruitment and engagement targets.
Producing reports and insights to support service development.
Contributing to the ongoing growth and strategic development of our volunteering programme.
Supporting volunteering events, campaigns, celebrations, and new initiatives across the organisation.

Experience building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Facilitation and engagement skills.
Strong digital skills, including database management.
Able to work independently and as part of a regional team.
