Managemant Accountant

An established and growing Nottingham-based business with a diverse portfolio of projects is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team.

The role offers broad exposure across management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, working closely with senior stakeholders across a multi-entity environment. It would suit an ambitious accountant looking for a varied role with genuine commercial exposure and the opportunity to take ownership.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Support the annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes.
• Produce financial reports and analysis for senior management.
• Support year-end accounts, statutory reporting and external audit requirements.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams, providing financial insight and supporting process improvements.

Key requirements:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified/recently qualified.
• Strong management accounting and month-end experience.
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
