As an Aspiring SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in the classroom, including those with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH . You will work closely with teachers and experienced staff to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact on pupils' learning and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities * Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
* Assist with lesson activities and classroom support
* Promote pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Help adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
* Support the implementation of IEPs and behaviour strategies
* Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement
* Create a safe and inclusive learning environment Requirements * A strong interest in working within SEND or education
* Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work or similar)
* Patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and develop within a school setting
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Desirable * Understanding of SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
* Previous experience in a school or support setting
