Supply Cover Supervisor – Worksop

Academics are currently recruiting Supply Cover Supervisors to support welcoming and well-managed secondary schools throughout Worksop on a temporary, flexible, ongoing supply basis.
This opportunity is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or individuals who have experience working with young people and are looking to gain practical classroom experience without the responsibility of planning lessons.
Position: Supply Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £100 – £130 per day (dependent on experience, paid via PAYE – no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a Supply Cover Supervisor in Worksop, you will step into the classroom during teacher absences to supervise pupils and ensure that learning continues smoothly.
You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, maintain a positive and structured classroom environment, and ensure pupils stay engaged with their work across a variety of subjects.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise whole classes using pre-set lesson materials
• Ensure pupils remain focused and complete their work
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide guidance and support to pupils during lessons
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school leaders
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
A degree or equivalent qualification (essential)
Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
Ability to manage behaviour effectively
Flexible and professional approach to working in schools
Experience working with young people (desirable)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
