Director of Operations

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Operations to take strategic responsibility for our support services and play a critical role within our Executive Team. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading specialist organisations.

This organisation is a leading care company supporting individuals with learning disabilities across the North West, providing a wide range of specialist services and support to help improve the lives and wellbeing of the people it serves

As the Director of Operations your key responsibilities include:

·         Provide strategic leadership and oversight across a portfolio of autism and adult social care services

·         Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s operational strategy, ensuring services meet long-term objectives

·         Take executive-level responsibility for service quality, performance, regulatory compliance and safeguarding

·         Oversee financial performance, budgets and resource allocation to ensure services remain financially sustainable

·         Drive service transformation, continuous improvement and the development of innovative, person-centred support

·         Lead and develop senior management teams, promoting accountability, strong leadership and workforce excellence

·         Ensure services deliver high-quality, person-centred support that meets the needs of autistic adults

·         Strengthen relationships with commissioners, local authorities, regulators and external stakeholders to support service development

·         Identify opportunities for growth, improve occupancy and referrals, and support the expansion of services

·         Provide strategic advice and operational insight to the executive team, contributing to organisation-wide planning and decision-making

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·         Significant senior leadership experience within autism services, learning disabilities or adult social care

·         Proven experience leading multiple services or a large, geographically dispersed operational portfolio

·         Strong understanding of autism, person-centred care, safeguarding and regulatory requirements

·         Demonstrable experience of strategic planning, service transformation and organisational development

·         Strong financial management skills, including budgetary control, resource allocation and improving service sustainability

·         Experience leading, developing and motivating senior management teams across complex services

·         A track record of improving service quality, operational performance and outcomes for people supported

·         Experience working with commissioners, local authorities, regulators and other key stakeholders

·         Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at executive level

·         A commitment to promoting inclusion, independence, choice and positive outcomes for autistic adults

The successful Director of Operations will receive an excellent salary of up to £90,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
