Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join a dedicated team in Luton on an initial two-month locum assignment, with the potential for extension. * Develop personalised recovery plans in partnership with service users.
* Provide one-to-one support and effective keyworking to individuals experiencing drug and alcohol-related difficulties.
* Manage an allocated caseload, monitoring progress and adapting support where appropriate.
* Promote harm reduction approaches and provide education around safer choices and recovery.
* Support service users to understand different recovery models and encourage positive lifestyle changes.
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, specialist services and other partner agencies to provide holistic support.
* Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records of assessments, interventions and service-user progress.
* Promote a person-centred, recovery-focused approach throughout your work. Essential Requirements * Relevant experience working within substance misuse, drugs and alcohol services .
* Proven experience managing a caseload of service users.
* Experience providing one-to-one support and keyworking.
* Strong understanding of substance misuse, recovery and harm reduction approaches.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive, professional relationships with service users and partner agencies.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
