Medtronic seeks a Senior Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy for Touch Surgery Aide, an edge-compute platform powering the surgical operating room ecosystem. The role involves defining platform capabilities across video, connectivity, AI, and device integration while collaborating with engineers, clinicians, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Set and communicate multi-year product vision for Aide as the intraoperative digital foundation
- Define platform strategy across edge compute, video, data movement, connectivity, and application enablement
- Build understanding of surgeons, OR teams, hospital IT workflows, and Medtronic portfolio priorities
- Lead continuous discovery with engineering, design, clinical and field partners to test assumptions
- Own product direction for connectivity, device-to-cloud workflows, provisioning, deployment, and fleet lifecycle
Requirements
- Significant product management experience with accountability from discovery through launch and scale
- Demonstrated success with digital platforms, ecosystems, or technically complex hardware-software products
- Strong platform product judgment and ability to make trade-offs between shared versus application-specific capabilities
- Customer-discovery and analytical skills using qualitative and quantitative evidence
- Technical fluency in software, hardware, networking, cloud, APIs, and architecture without deep implementation expertise
- Ability to influence senior technical, clinical, and business stakeholders without direct authority
