KS2 Maternity Cover Teacher

Dubai Heights Academy is a warm and welcoming school in Al Barsha South, Dubai. Opened in 2017, it provides an inclusive and ambitious education for an international community of students from FS1 to Year 13.

Our 292,000 sq. ft. campus includes three buildings serving the different phases of the school, including a secondary building opened in August 2025. Facilities include a 380-seat auditorium, three temperature-controlled swimming pools, science and computer laboratories, specialist art, design and technology, music and drama rooms, a library, three multipurpose sports halls, a full-size football pitch, outdoor play areas and two canteens.

We follow the National Curriculum for England, adapted to meet local requirements and enriched by Arabic, Islamic Studies, Moral Education and Social Studies. Our work with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) includes an AI project-based programme for secondary students and an early language programme using social robots in Primary, further enriching our broad and balanced curriculum.

Job Overview

Dubai Heights Academy is seeking applications from dynamic and talented KS2 Maternity Cover teacher who has excellent subject knowledge and who are able to contribute to continued improvements in progress and student attainment.

We expect all applicants to be well qualified, self-motivated, adaptable, imaginative, and keen to join a team that is committed to academic excellence.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge

• At least 3 years experience of the National Curriculum for England

• Experience of teaching KS2

Candidates must:

• be a qualified teacher with experience of the British National Curriculum

• already be living in the UAE and have their own/spouse sponsorship

• be able to provide contact details of referees as references will be required

Interviews will take place at Dubai Heights Academy or online, should a face to face interview not be possible. The closing date for applications is as advertised however, interviews may take place ahead of this date so an early application is advantageous.
