Role Overview

As a Site Supervisor for Planned Maintenance, you will support the successful delivery of planned maintenance, refurbishment and improvement works across a range of contracts and programmes.

You will supervise operatives and subcontractors on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. You will also help maintain positive relationships with residents, clients and the wider project team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day planned maintenance and refurbishment works, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors on site, ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, quality, health & safety and site standards, addressing issues promptly.
• Carry out regular site inspections and report defects, delays and outstanding works to the Site Manager.
• Ensure materials, labour and site activities are properly coordinated to support programme delivery.
• Maintain accurate site records, photographs and relevant project documentation.
• Support the Site Manager with progress updates, inspections, handovers and snagging.
• Liaise professionally with residents, clients, operatives and subcontractors, ensuring any issues are reported and followed through.
• Support Resident Liaison Officers with access, resident communication and day-to-day queries.
• Ensure company policies, health & safety requirements, Building Regulations and site procedures are followed.
• Promote a positive, professional and customer-focused approach, representing Cardo Group on site.

You will need:

• Relevant site supervision experience within planned maintenance, refurbishment, construction or social housing .
• First Aid qualification – desirable.
• Good understanding of construction methods, site practices and health & safety requirements.
• Experience supervising operatives and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and schedules of work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• IT literate with the ability to maintain basic site records and reporting.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• A proactive and practical approach to problem solving.
• Valid driving licence.
