Exciting opportunities are available to join the team at the Ritson Clinic at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. We have Band 5 positions available for Registered X Nurses and we are looking for passionate, caring, and motivated people to join our highly skilled nursing teams.

About the Role

The Ritson Clinic is a 12-bedded unit that provides in-patient assessment and detoxification from alcohol and/or drugs to patients across the city of Edinburgh and Lothians . It caters primarily for people with alcohol disorders but many will also have other complex needs, including drug use and painkiller addiction. Most have co-morbid mental and/ or physical health problems.

The post holder will play a key role in assessing patient needs and delivering outstanding, patient-centred care through effective planning, implementation and evaluation of care programmes.

Please note, the shifts will be worked over a 24 hour period, 7 days a week.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
