The Opportunity
The Shore Group have been appointed on behalf of a highly respected Commercial Design and Build business, recognised for delivering high-quality, design-led projects across the UK.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead the next phase of a growing business with strong foundations already in place. Working alongside supportive and engaged shareholders, you will have the platform to build a high-performing, scalable organisation and deliver meaningful impact.
We are seeking ambitious, commercially driven leaders who are motivated by the opportunity to elevate a business and leave a lasting imprint on its future success.
The shareholders are aligned in their ambition to scale, professionalise, and unlock the next level of growth, and are investing in the appointment of a high-calibre CEO to help realise this potential.

The CEO will be responsible for leading the business into its next chapter, bringing enhanced clarity, structure, and growth focus while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that has driven success to date.
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution. You will work closely with the shareholders to translate ambition into action, while building a high-performing leadership team and embedding best-in-class operational practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Set clear direction, pace, and priorities across the business
- Lead, coach, and elevate the leadership team to full accountability
- Drive revenue growth through active client engagement and market presence
- Bring structure and consistency to a fast-paced, project-led environment
- Improve performance across delivery, commerciality, and operations
- Establish simple, scalable processes across projects, people, and financials
- Act as the connecting force between shareholders, leadership, and teams
The successful candidate will bring experience aligned to the following:
- Proven CEO / MD / COO / Divisional Leader within fit-out, construction, or project-led environments
- Background in fit-out, construction, or project-led environments
- Track record of growing, transforming, or scaling a business or business unit
- Delivered revenue growth through client wins, account expansion
- Owned full P&L, improving margins, costs, and profitability
- Led improvement in fit-out delivery performance (programme certainty, bid turnaround, utilisation)
