We are seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join our secondary team in August 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons, inspiring students to develop their creativity, technical skills, and artistic expression. The role requires a teacher with a strong understanding of the British curriculum, who can create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment with high expectations for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons aligned with the British curriculum

• Develop engaging and creative learning experiences that encourage self-expression and critical thinking

• Support students in building strong practical and theoretical art skills

• Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with UK assessment practices

• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners

• Create a positive and well-managed studio/classroom environment

• Contribute to art exhibitions, school events, and extra-curricular activities

• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching standards

• Communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art & Design, or a related field

• PGCE / PGDE with QTS (or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification)

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school

• Experience teaching secondary Art (Key Stage 3 or above)

• Strong understanding of UK curriculum standards and assessment practices

• Experience preparing students for GCSE Art or equivalent pathways is an advantage

• A proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and student outcomes

• Native-level English proficiency
