Function: Supply Chain
Location: Manchester
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Closing date: 19 th June 2026
Please note, we may close vacancies early where we receive significant numbers of applications, so don't delay! As the UK's leading beer, cider and pub business, we're home to some of the world's best-loved beers and ciders , and a leading player in the international drinks industry.
We're the name behind a host of brilliant brands, from Inch's to Birra Moretti and many more. And with around 2,400 pubs to our name in the UK, our Star Pubs business is all about putting pubs at the centre of community life.
But we're more than great beers and ciders. We're a place where passion meets purpose, careers are built as carefully as our brews, and enjoyment of life is part of the job.
We're looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our Supply Chain function to play a key part in improving and changing the future of our breweries! About the Role
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of any new processes or equipment in their brewery infrastructure. All projects should meet the functionality and capability set out in the Capital Project objectives, such as budgeting, scheduling and reporting.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects from initiation through to completion - covering business case development, stakeholder alignment, execution, commissioning, and handover - ensuring delivery against cost, quality, safety, and timeline objectives.
This includes providing technical oversight through the review of blueprints, specifications, and engineering designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, while proactively resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborating with a number of internal colleagues and external stakeholders, you will need to influence others as well as implementing deadlines to keep projects on track. You will manage project logistics including procurement of materials and equipment, supply chain coordination, and contractor management to support uninterrupted project delivery. The Candidate
We're looking for a results-driven Project Manager with experience delivering end-to-end CAPEX and operational improvement projects within fast-paced FMCG and manufacturing environments. You'll be involved from submitting business cases right through to implementation, so a detailed eye with the ability to influence and manage people to hit deadlines will be critical.
You will be adept at milestone planning, budget control, forecasting, and schedule management, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining effective communication between stakeholders, project managers, design teams, contractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
As well as a positive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset, the ideal candidate may have:
