Job Title: Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner Specialism: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Location: Cambridge, UK Salary: Up to £26.50 Hourly Type: Full-Time (3 Months)
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join a dynamic team in the heart of Cambridge. Review referral information to identify risk, urgency, and suitability.
Complete initial clinical risk assessments and support clinical decision-making.
Prioritise referrals based on presenting need and level of risk.
Make clear decisions regarding acceptance, allocation, onward referral, or signposting as appropriate.
Liaise with families, young people, and professionals to gather any missing or clarifying information.
Provide timely advice and guidance to referrers and partner agencies.
Book and offer initial appointments where appropriate.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation on clinical systems.
Escalate safeguarding and high-risk cases in accordance with local procedures.
Work closely with crisis teams and treatment pathways to support safe transitions.
Contribute to maintaining safe triage flow and reducing waiting times.
