As the Principal Educational Psychologist , you will act as the senior professional lead, driving quality, innovation and excellence across the service. You will play a key role in ensuring statutory responsibilities are met while developing inclusive educational provision that enables children and young people to achieve their full potential. Your Role as Principal Educational Psychologist:
- Lead and manage a team of Educational Psychologists, providing professional leadership, supervision and support
- Quality assure consultation, assessment, intervention, training and research activity across the service
- Deliver complex casework, including assessments, advice, interventions and ongoing monitoring
- Develop and deliver training and support programmes that strengthen inclusive practice within educational settings
- Contribute to strategic planning, policy development and multi-agency collaboration to improve outcomes for vulnerable learners
- Degree in Psychology and a postgraduate qualification (Masters or Doctoral level) in Educational Psychology
- HCPC registration alongside membership of the British Psychological Society and Association of Educational Psychologists
- Extensive experience delivering high-quality educational psychology services within complex settings
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams of professional psychologists
- Expert knowledge of psychological theory and practice relating to children and young people with emotional, behavioural and social needs
