Who we need
We are seeking a candidate with experience of supporting young people with mental health and wellbeing needs. The role will focus on working with a large caseload of vulnerable learners, providing individual support and liaising with external agencies and social care to ensure effective multiagency collaboration. A key part of the role will involve supporting safeguarding processes to ensure that students are safe and protected.
Ideally, candidates will have experience of advocating for students’ needs, coordinating joined-up support, and helping learners to engage, progress, and thrive during their time at college.
We are recruiting roles at our High Pavement and Basford campuses; however, the successful applicant must be flexible to work across all campuses to support the centralised wellbeing team. Please note this is a term time only post for 40 weeks of the year, with 4 weeks being worked outside of term time.
What you’ll bring
You will possess experience of supporting young people to ensure their safety and wellbeing on a range of pastoral and learning related topics. Essential skills and experiences required are:
- Strong organisational skills
- Confident in using technology
- Able to keep accurate and detailed records
- Manage administrative tasks efficiently
- Good time management, clear communication, and a proactive approach to working with both students and professionals are also key to success in this role
