The CAMHS Disability Service is a well-established part of Community CAMHS and offers a wide range of care pathways (0-18 years; moderate to profound LD, ASD and ADHD as well as physical disabilities) including specialist therapeutic interventions, neurodevelopmental assessments with post-diagnostic support, MDT and group interventions, duty and initial assessments and brief, focused interventions for autism. Systemic and relational models form the basis for much of our work, alongside behavioural techniques and a variety of specialist, evidence based approaches. Referrals are diverse, reflecting our local community which we are proud to serve. An exciting opportunity has arisen for two band 7 part-time psychologists to work within the Social Communication Assessment Clinic (SCAC), focused on delivering high-quality autism assessments for children and young people aged 5-18. We are a forward thinking, passionate team supporting children and young people with disability and their families. If you are motivated and enthusiastic to work in CAMHS in the context of autism assessment in a multi diverse and partnership delivery model, within an outstanding NHS organisation, this is an ideal position to apply to. Main duties of the job
- Deliver a high-quality autism assessment service to children and young people aged 5-18 and their families within SCAC, working within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency context and contributing to differential diagnosis and diagnostic formulation.
- Provide a flexible clinical service based on highly developed specialist psychological knowledge, doctoral training, ongoing CPD, regular clinical supervision and relevant experience in child and adolescent neurodevelopmental assessment.
