Costs Draftsperson

Costs Draftsperson - Fully Remote Salary: Up to £40,000 A specialist legal services provider is seeking an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join its growing team on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a costs professional who enjoys working autonomously while being part of a supportive and collaborative environment. The Role You will manage a varied caseload of claimant costs matters and be responsible for the preparation and progression of bills of costs from instruction through to completion. Key responsibilities will include:

• Drafting Bills of Costs across a range of civil matters
• Preparing budgets, statements of costs and Points of Dispute / Replies
• Negotiating costs and assisting with settlement where appropriate
• Reviewing files and advising on costs recovery strategy
• Liaising with solicitors, fee earners and third parties to progress matters efficiently

• Previous experience as a Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer / Costs Negotiator
• Strong knowledge of CPR and costs procedures
• Experience drafting inter partes bills and associated costs documents
• Ability to manage your own caseload independently
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
