AstraZeneca seeks a Director to establish and oversee local sustainability reporting processes across its global operations. The role involves designing governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to align local disclosures with Group standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and establish operating model for local sustainability reporting including governance, roles and escalation paths
- Monitor emerging sustainability reporting requirements across jurisdictions and interpret regulatory frameworks
- Provide subject matter expertise and practical guidance to subsidiaries on compliance and disclosure regulations
- Develop hub for sharing local sustainability data and best practices while maintaining Group and local compliance
- Oversee quality, consistency and audit-readiness of reporting documentation across all in-scope markets
Requirements
- Extensive experience in sustainability, ESG, finance, audit, risk or controls in complex global organizations
- Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks with ability to translate into practical processes
- Proven track record leading cross-functional, multi-market projects with senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of governance, controls, documentation and disclosure review processes
- Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior leadership
- Graduate degree in sustainability, finance, accounting, business, law, environmental management or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to simplify complex technical guidance
