Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of care, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in assisting with daily activities, promoting well-being, and fostering a safe and comfortable environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medication as per care plans and monitor client health.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs while respecting client preferences.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and communication is beneficial.
- A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to empathise with clients are essential qualities for this role.
