About The Role
As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will support the delivery of process engineering solutions for a range of water sector clients. Your work may include supporting storm overflow improvement schemes, helping assess and enhance treatment capacity, and contributing to projects responding to new WINEP drivers relating to phosphorus, ammonia and nitrogen removal.
You may also support bathing water and shellfish water quality improvement projects, clean water treatment works optimisation and upgrade schemes, and the development of water reuse opportunities.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating water and wastewater quality data.
- Undertaking process calculations, asset sizing and mass balance development.
- Developing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs.
- Preparing technical reports, specifications and presentations.
- Attending meetings with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary design teams.
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation and providing structured on-the-job training. The applicable professional qualification route for this role is IChemE.
Your Impact
This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements across the water sector, supporting projects that protect communities, improve environmental outcomes and strengthen the resilience of critical water infrastructure. From improving wastewater treatment performance to supporting nature-based solutions and water reuse opportunities, your work will help clients respond to regulatory, environmental and climate-related challenges while delivering positive outcomes for people and the places they serve.
