Recruiting – Media Studies Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding Media Studies teacher with the ability to teach GCSE and A Level, delivering analytical, creative and industry-aware lessons. You will develop students’ critical understanding of media texts, platforms and audiences while guiding them to produce high-quality practical coursework across film, audio, print and digital media. A proven track record of strong results and confidence with contemporary production tools would be highly advantageous. We want a teacher who brings creativity, technical skill and academic rigour, inspiring students to think critically and create ambitiously.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Professional Requirements

Due to KHDA regulations, we only employ individuals with approved teacher status as well as a degree in their teaching subject area.

·       High Quality Degree in Media, Film, Communications or a related field (Must be MOFA Attested).

·       Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Must be MOFA Attested).

·       Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the National Curriculum for England in the UK or UAE.

·       GCSE and A Level teaching experience – Essential.

·       Ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results.

·       A commitment to the wellbeing of all students within their care

·       A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life.

·       The ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment.

·       An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading subject teacher.
