Job summary
The Healthy Weight Team operates citywide across Manchester, working in partnership with schools to improve the health outcomes of children, young people and their families and supports the School Health Service to address one of the city's key public health priorities for children, by providing support and advice around childhood obesity. The Healthy Weight Nurse will provide an effective and comprehensive weight management intervention to children and their parents / families attending a Manchester school nursery setting or reception aged children who have been identified as requiring support through the National Child Measurement Programme or through GP / school / Health Visitor referrals, ensuring that care is evidenced based and safe levels of intervention are delivered.
