Quant Capital is urgently looking for a MySQL DBA to join our high profile client in their main development team.

Our client fintech start-up on a mission to disrupt the foreign exchange market, applying innovation to tap FX liquidity The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.

As a DBA you will architect, develop, implement and support a separation strategy forprivate cloud databases. You will also devise and oversee the continuation of a secure and robust transition of its databases into the public cloud, driving database architecture forwards with a bias for innovation. Your input is needed to help design the best future technical roadmap.

You will interface with all levels of the business and have a global responsibility (UK, US, Asia). You will be able to troubleshoot issues, handle incident escalations (sometimes out-of-hours) while promoting production change management processes and procedures.

MySQL DBA’s Must Ideally Have:

·MySQL and MariaDB on Linux

·InnoDB

·Database installations, backups, restores, replication

·Scripting languages – Python and Bash

·Stored procedures, SQL tuning

·Performance Tuning

·Capacity planning

·Transaction processing
