We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient focused paediatric haemophilia clinical nurse specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Cambridge University Hospitals’ Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre.
You will play a central role in delivering specialist nursing care, education and support to children and adults with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Working closely with consultants, physiotherapists, pharmacy and laboratory teams, you will provide expert clinical advice, coordinate care and empower patients and their families / carers to self-manage their condition where appropriate.
Cambridge University Hospital is the regional treatment centre for children and young people with a diagnosis of Haemophilia and is supported by dedicated Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units as well as a critical care transport team. This role will support Children’s Services as we move into the future here at CUH with the development of Cambridge Children’s Hospital.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a paediatric NMC registered nurse, with significant post registration experience in this speciality and a willingness to lead the paediatric haemophilia nursing team. You will have excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach and a passion for providing high quality, patient centred care. Experience in bleeding disorders is required with evidence of CPD in this specialist area.
