About the role
Connex Education are supporting a mainstream primary school in Leeds in appointing an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. This role is to work 1:1 With a child with autism who is non-verbal.

This welcoming Primary school is in Leeds provides an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The staff and parents work together closely to ensure each child achieves their full potential. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a KS1 class and working 1:1 with a child with autism. The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant which is able to help create an engaging learning environment for pupils.
Assignment details
This role is a long term assignment starting September 2026 and is ongoing to December 2026. It has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Person Specification
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
- Have Maths and English to GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- Hold previous experience of working with children and young people
- Have experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs
