About us
Halfords is on a journey - building the future of motoring and cycling and looking for people who want to help shape what comes next. We’re a place for co‑creators: people who want to make a real impact, take ownership and be part of something that’s still evolving.
As the UK’s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products, we’re supported by one of the country’s largest independent vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair networks through Halfords Autocentres. This breadth gives us a strong, stable foundation - and the freedom to keep innovating and growing.
That means real variety for our colleagues, along with the opportunity to learn, stretch and develop as the business moves forward. Whatever your role, you’ll be part of a team focused on delivering exceptional service - using your expertise to solve problems, guide customers and help keep the nation moving with confidence.
About the role
In a market where top leadership talent is harder than ever to secure, we’re looking for someone who thrives on complexity, challenge, and impact.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead senior hiring across the business, partnering with executive stakeholders to identify, attract, and secure outstanding leadership talent that will shape the next chapter of our success. You’ll own the full executive search lifecycle end-to-end, from strategic briefing and market mapping through to engagement, assessment, and appointment, taking a proactive, insight-led, and highly tailored approach to every search. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition leadership team, you’ll be part of an environment where collaboration, constructive challenge, and fresh thinking are actively encouraged.
As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you’ll influence hiring decisions at the highest level while championing diversity, delivering exceptional candidate experiences, and raising the bar for executive talent acquisition across Halfords. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving complex hiring challenges, and are passionate about building diverse leadership teams that drive performance and culture, we’d love to hear from you.

- Collaborate with the wider TA team to drive alignment, share best practice, and strengthen overall talent acquisition capability
- Act as a catalyst for innovation and continuous improvement, helping evolve and modernise our executive hiring approach
About you
- Proven experience delivering executive or senior-level search, preferably in-house
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to operate credibly at senior leadership level
- A forward-thinking, solutions-led approach, with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively design better ways of working
- A track record of identifying and attracting diverse talent through proactive and strategic sourcing approaches
- Commercially minded and data-driven, with the ability to turn insight into action
- Excellent project management and governance capability, with strong attention to detail
- Collaborative, curious, and solutions-focused, with a passion for delivering exceptional hiring outcomes
