Creative Support is a busy and dynamic national charity with a track record in providing high-quality, person-centred support services in over 65 Local Authorities.
We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual to join our Regional Development Team. This busy role will involve sharing the delivery of two large weekly evening discos in Middlesbrough and Stockton on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm – 9.30pm for adults with a learning disability or other support need, coordinating a small team of staff and helpers and ensuring the smooth running of them; as well as a monthly disco in Darlington on the first Wednesday of the month. You will also look for further opportunities to expand the discos and utilize partnerships with other organisations.
As part of the role you will also develop, plan & deliver social activities across the region focusing on the established south of the region (Teesside, Darlington & North Yorkshire), for service users, including delivering existing activities as part of our wider offer. You will work closely with our Regional Development Team and support in the wider regional development initiatives.
The successful candidate will be skilled in planning and delivering events and activities, effective communication and networking, maintaining records, and effectively coordinating resources. They will also need to be well organised, hard working and flexible as this is a demanding role, working with multiple stakeholders/services. The successful candidate will also have an enthusiasm for working directly with people to create meaningful opportunities.
A genuine interest in and awareness of the wider social care sector is desirable. Continuous professional development will be provided but you must be able to work independently and flexibly to meet the goals and changing needs of the organisation.
You will be based between our Stockton Regional Office and Gateshead Area Office, with the requirement for travel to services across the North East region. Applicants must possess a clean and valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.
