Quality Engineer

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven Quality Engineer to support quality activities across both production and new product introduction. Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams, you will help drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.
The Quality Engineer will:
- Support quality activities across NPI, PPAP and production programmes.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including Control Plans and Certificates of Conformity.
- Lead quality investigations using 8D and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Support IMDS submissions and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Monitor quality performance using SPC and statistical analysis techniques.
- Work alongside the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) to support welding compliance activities.
The Quality Engineer will have:
- Experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, NPI and core quality tools.
- Experience with FMEA, SPC, 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
- Six Sigma and statistical analysis experience, ideally using Minitab.
- Knowledge of IMDS and automotive quality requirements.
- Understanding of MIG/MAG welding processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- A positive attitude and a proven track record of longevity within previous roles.
