1-2-1 Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 3 SEND School

- Providing dedicated 1-2-1 support for a Key Stage 3 student with ASC and associated learning needs
- Supporting the student to engage in lessons and access the curriculum
- Implementing personalised strategies to support communication, emotional regulation and independence
- Working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping the student develop social skills
- Supporting the student's academic, emotional and personal development
- Contributing to EHCP targets and monitoring progress
- Building positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of the student
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker (desirable)
