Our Local Neonatal Unit provides 20 cots and delivers Intensive, High‑Dependency, Special, and Transitional Care within a highly skilled multi‑disciplinary team focused on safe, effective, family‑centred practice.

The post holder will lead, coordinate, and deliver education for all neonatal staff, supporting the Neonatal Foundation and Specialist Programmes, delivering 1:1 teaching, bedside learning, simulation training, and study days. They will act as a clinical expert, develop and maintain competency frameworks, and work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, ODN, and education colleagues.

JOB SUMMARY

The post holder will lead, coordinate, and deliver education and development for all registered and unregistered staff involved in neonatal care. This includes supporting the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Neonatal Foundation Programme (NFP) and Neonatal Specialist Programme (NSP), ensuring a structured, high‑quality learning pathway for the neonatal workforce.

The Royal Cornwall Hospital Neonatal Unit provides 20 cots offering Intensive, High‑Dependency, Special, and Transitional Care within a skilled multi‑disciplinary team. The post holder will ensure education and training reflect the complexity, acuity, and family‑centred nature of this environment.

As an experienced practitioner and clinical educator, they will provide 1:1 teaching, targeted bedside learning, simulation‑based training, and dedicated study days. They will also develop and maintain neonatal education resources, competency frameworks, and training programmes, working collaboratively with the wider multi‑disciplinary team, the Neonatal ODN, and Trust education leads to ensure alignment with national standards and local priorities.
