This is a rare opportunity to combine strong technical tax expertise with your fluent Japanese language skills, advising some of the world's most recognised multinational brands on complex cross-border workforce challenges.

The Role
You'll take ownership of a diverse and rewarding client portfolio, supporting both inbound expatriates coming to the UK and UK employees on international assignments. You'll be a key point of contact for Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders, building trusted relationships while leading high-profile global tax projects.
What you'll be doing:
* Advising leading multinational clients on expatriate tax, global mobility compliance, and international tax matters
* Leading complex client engagements from end to end, delivering high-quality, commercially focused solutions
* Providing strategic advice on tax planning, compliance, and mobility programmes for internationally mobile workforces
* Leading risk management and technical quality reviews
* Collaborating with specialists across personal tax, employment tax, immigration, and reward
* Communicating confidently with stakeholders at all levels - translating technical detail into practical business advice
* Supporting and developing junior colleagues within a collaborative team culture
What you will need
* Fluent Japanese - essential, as you'll regularly liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and colleagues
* Strong technical expertise in expatriate tax and global mobility
* Proven experience managing complex, multi-client portfolios
* A relevant professional qualification (ATT / ACA / CA / ACCA / CTA / Law or equivalent)
* Excellent client relationship and communication skills
* A strategic, commercially minded approach with strong problem-solving ability
* Leadership and project management experience, with the drive to develop others
