We're recruiting for a REL Bin Lorry Driver to join a busy commercial waste collection team based in Carryduff, Belfast. The Role
As an HGV Class 2 REL Bin Lorry Driver, you'll safely operate a specialist waste collection vehicle while working alongside a collection crew to deliver reliable commercial waste and recycling services.
You'll be responsible for completing daily collection routes, ensuring compliance with transport legislation, maintaining excellent customer service, and supporting environmentally responsible waste management.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) REL Bin Lorry on planned collection routes.
• Collect commercial, industrial and recyclable waste from businesses, schools and other customer sites.
• Operate REL lifting equipment and vehicle systems safely and efficiently.
• Assist with handling wheelie bins and waste containers when required.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
• Accurately complete route sheets, vehicle checks and digital records.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Follow all Road Traffic legislation, Driver CPC regulations and Tachograph requirements.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental and Company procedures at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure routes are completed efficiently.
• Support wider environmental and recycling operations when required.

What We're Looking For
Essential

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence .
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Good understanding of transport legislation and safe driving practices.
• Ability to carry out physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Desirable

• Previous experience within waste collection, recycling or environmental services.
• Experience operating REL Bin Lorries or specialist refuse collection vehicles.
• ADR Certification.
• Knowledge of waste management and recycling processes.
• Experience working in a customer-facing operational environment.
