Primary Teacher (SEMH / SEN)

£42k per annum
Full-time

Are you an exceptional educator seeking a rewarding career where you can make a profound impact on the lives of children with special educational needs and mental health challenges? If so, we have an incredible opportunity that might be the perfect fit for your talents and aspirations.

Our client, a renowned educational institution in Dukinfield, Tameside, is currently searching for a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join their talented team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform the lives of children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with special educational needs (SEN), guiding them on a path of academic and personal growth.

As a Primary Teacher (SEMH / SEN) with our client, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of your students. Your passion for inclusive education will shine through as you create a nurturing, supportive environment where every child can thrive. With a salary of £42,000+ per annum (negotiable depending on experience), this position offers an exceptional compensation package and the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of your students.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of professionals, including SEND coordinators, teaching assistants, and therapists, to ensure a holistic and comprehensive approach to supporting your students' academic, social, and emotional development. Your adaptability, creativity, and strong communication skills will be invaluable as you work to develop individualised learning plans and implement evidence-based strategies to address the unique needs of each child in your care.

Beyond the classroom, you will have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities, contribute to the school's wider initiatives, and engage with the local community. This multifaceted role will allow you to develop your leadership skills and grow as an educator, all while making a lasting impact on the lives of your students.

If you possess a passion for inclusive education, a deep understanding of SEMH and SEN, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional teaching and learning, we encourage you to apply for this transformative role. This job is being advertised on Senploy - the UK's favourite education and SEND job board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students with SEMH and SEN
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Collaborate with SEND coordinators, teaching assistants, and therapists to develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Employ evidence-based strategies and interventions to support the unique needs of each student
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school's wider initiatives
  • Engage with the local community and build strong partnerships to enhance the educational experience

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with SEMH and/or SEN in a primary school setting
  • Thorough understanding of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for inclusive education

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £42,000+ per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Access to well-being resources and mental health support

This job is being advertised on Senploy - the UK's favourite education and SEND job board. If you are ready to embark on an inspiring journey as a Primary Teacher (SEMH / SEN) , we encourage you to submit your CV for consideration.
