US-UK Expat Tax Return Signer - Fully remote - Xerxes Associates LLP
£32.5 - £37.8 per hourEstimated
This role is for an initial period of 6 months (fixed term). Subject to satisfactory performance this will be then be renewed to a permanent role.
This is a signer role for US and UK “expat” tax returns. The signer will be required to prepare and issue US/UK tax returns or either of the two, using the relevant software (CCH Axcess for US, TaxCalc for UK) . The initial client allocation would be 50-100 US and 50-100 UK returns.
Our Need
● Prepare and sign out US and UK expatriate individual tax returns.
● Experience will be required with Forms 1040/1040NR, 1116, 2555, 8833, 8938, 8858, together with K-1s, state returns and foreign income sourcing.
● Ability to complete Forms 5471, 3520 and 8621while not essential would be useful.
● Full understanding of UK/US cross-border taxation and the Foreign Income and Gains (FIG) regime will be required.
● Our team is legacy “Big 4” and so the appropriate technical expertise will be required.
Our Requirements
● Strong experience signing out US/UK expatriate individual tax returns. Either a dual handler or just US or UK.
● Must have previously signed out US/UK returns.
● Experience with US/UK interaction for tax purposes.
● Confident working independently and with client allocation.
Our Offer
● Fully remote.
● Initial fixed-term contractor engagement.
● Paid a proportion of the gross fee (circa. 40%) per return.
● Typical minimum client fee of £650 per return with this increasing based on complexity.
● Opportunity for full time employment or permanent contract after initial 6 months.
