We are supporting two gentlemen that require full care and support in all areas of their daily living. Although they have lived together for many years they have their own requirements for doing activities. The activities include a mix of going to the disco, sensory room, days out, bus rides and out for meals. They are unable to use oral spoken language however when getting to know them you will learn ways of communicating. The need workers that are patient with them, give them time to adjust to new people and places. Staff need to be caring and understanding and not to rush them into doing things they do not enjoy.
The is a requirement for specific training which includes Epilepsy, Buccal Midazolam, Moving and Positioning, Safety Interventions training and Dysphasia and Eating and Drinking.
We are looking for Bank staff and we have two staff on three days and there will be extra staff member to support activities. There is a mixture of shifts which include 8am to 8pm, 8am to 2pm, 2pm to 9pm and 8pm to 8am.
