Unsted Park School are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or a newly qualified practitioner, who will have the opportunity to work closely with our therapists and other professionals, providing support to students.

Unsted Park School is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with 44 acres of surrounding grounds. We are a SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 7 to 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. The focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion. Based on these core areas we provide individual, person-centred programmes which recognise individual abilities and strengths and help students to reach their full potential.

Main duties and expectations:

• You will receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual young person's therapeutic and mental health needs.
  

• You will lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, short and long-term, ensuring interventions continue to meet the needs of the YP and are consistent with the provisions detailed in their therapy plan.
  

• You will manage, monitor and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.
  

• Ability to work independently and with previous experience of working with young people with ASD, preferably within an education setting, is essential.
