Head of eCommerce | 12-Month FTC
Fully remote (with travel to Derbyshire once a month)

We're partnering with an established consumer brand looking to bring on a commercially minded Head of eCommerce to lead and accelerate its DTC business. This is a senior leadership role with ownership of the online commercial strategy, digital trading performance and customer experience, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver ambitious growth plans. The role is based on the original brief but has been rewritten to remove any identifiable references to the source company.
A bit about the role
- Own and deliver the overall eCommerce strategy, aligning it with wider commercial objectives.
- Take full responsibility for online revenue, profitability, forecasting and trading performance.
- Lead the digital trading calendar, ensuring campaigns and promotions maximise commercial results.
- Drive customer acquisition, conversion, retention and lifetime value through data-led decision making.
- Develop and execute the digital commerce roadmap, identifying opportunities for sustainable online growth.
- Build and optimise CRM, lifecycle and retention programmes to increase repeat purchase and customer engagement.
- Use analytics and customer insights to improve conversion rate, average order value and overall website performance.
A bit about you
- Experience leading an eCommerce or D2C function within a consumer-facing business.
- Strong commercial background with ownership of an online P&L and revenue targets.
- Demonstrable success driving digital trading, online growth and customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience developing CRM, customer lifecycle or retention programmes.
- Strong understanding of CRO, website optimisation, digital merchandising and customer experience.
- Highly analytical with experience using data to influence commercial decisions and prioritise opportunities.
- An engaging leader with the ability to coach teams and build strong relationships across multiple business functions.
