Job description
NW Recruitment is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants with theatre experience to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in busy theatre departments, supporting clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing theatre areas before and after surgical procedures.
- Support patients before and after surgery, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Assist registered nurses and theatre practitioners with patient care.
- Prepare and restock theatre.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum 6 months' recent experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a theatre setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
Desirable Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Current Manual Handling and Basic Life Support training.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and theatre protocols.
