Working Supervisor - Voids

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs and maintenance industry. An established housing association is looking for a Working Supervisor – Voids to join their in-house repairs and maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for a Multi Trade / Senior Tradesperson / Chargehand who is looking to step up into a supervisory position while still using their trade knowledge on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for supporting and coordinating a team of around 6–8 operatives, helping to keep void works on track and making sure properties are completed to the required standard ready for re-let. The Role: Support and coordinate a team of 6–8 trade operatives across void properties Allocate jobs and tasks based on skillset, workload and priorities Carry out site checks and monitor the quality and progress of works Provide support and guidance to operatives on-site Identify and report any poor workmanship, delays or issues Monitor materials and make sure operatives have what they need Promote good health and safety across the team Keep accurate records and photographic evidence of completed works Keep the Void Supervisor updated on progress and any issues Help ensure void properties are completed efficiently and ready for re-let What We're Looking For: Previous experience within voids, repairs, maintenance or property refurbishment Experience as a Chargehand, Working Supervisor, Senior Operative or similar is ideal Strong trade knowledge with the confidence to support other trades Good communication and organisational skills Able to manage priorities and keep works moving in a busy environment Good understanding of health and safety Comfortable using a mobile device to update job information Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence Basic DBS check Benefits: Up to 30 days annual leave plus public holidays Company vehicle Generous employer pension contributions On-the-job training and development Support towards professional qualifications Opportunity to buy or sell up to 10 days annual leave Career progression and secondment opportunities Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to work scheme Free staff parking This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established in-house repairs and maintenance team, offering a good step up for someone with strong trade experience who is ready to take on more responsibility.
