Key Responsibilities
As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, you will support both the class teacher and pupils to achieve core learning goals:
* Targeted Interventions: Lead small-group and 1:1 booster sessions focusing on key maths concepts, phonics, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
* Classroom Management: Assist the teacher with daily lesson delivery, task preparation, and creating an organized learning atmosphere in Chester.
* Differentiated Support: Adapt resources to help lower-attaining pupils grasp key concepts while challenging higher-ability learners.
* Progress Tracking: Provide feedback on pupil engagement and achievement to help inform future lesson planning in Chester schools.
Candidate Profile
* Demonstrable experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
* Proven confidence in delivering structured interventions in primary maths and English/literacy.
* A proactive commitment to continuous self-improvement and ongoing education and training.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Academics).
