Site Manager

Are you a practical, reliable and friendly person who enjoys making sure everything is safe, well looked after and running smoothly?

We are looking for a Site Manager to join our welcoming primary school and become an important part of our school community.

You will play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, attractive and well-maintained environment for our children, staff and visitors. This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same!

What will you be doing?

25 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 52 weeks per year
7:00am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm

Your role will include:

• Opening the school each morning and ensuring the building is secure at the end of the day.

• Carrying out DIY, general maintenance and minor repairs.

• Painting and decorating to keep our school looking fresh and welcoming.

• Looking after our buildings, grounds, playgrounds, furniture and equipment.

• Carrying out regular site and health & safety checks.

• Liaising with contractors when specialist work is required.

• Keeping the school site safe, tidy and well presented.

• Supporting fire safety, security and emergency procedures.

• Responding to maintenance issues and helping to keep the school running smoothly.

• Practical and hands-on, with good DIY and maintenance skills.

• Reliable, trustworthy and takes pride in their work.

• Friendly and approachable.

• Able to work independently and use their own initiative.

• Organised, flexible and able to solve problems.

• Someone who enjoys looking after a building and creating a great environment for children.

Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities or site management would be an advantage, but most importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, practical skills and commitment to our school. Full training will be given.
