Business Development & Growth Executive (Campaigns & Activations) – 12 Month FTC

A leading international law firm is seeking a Business Development & Growth Executive to join its Innovation department on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an events and BD professional to take ownership of client-facing activations, sponsorships and campaigns, supporting new client acquisition and building measurable sales pipelines across a dynamic and fast-growing practice.

Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end delivery of the Innovation department’s events calendar, including hosted, sponsored and intermediary-led events, from initial planning through to post-event follow-up.

Coordinate event logistics, stakeholder communications and on-the-day delivery, ensuring activations are delivered effectively and achieve their intended commercial outcomes.

Manage sponsorship activity with industry partners, incubators, sector bodies and other key organisations, identifying opportunities to generate new prospect leads and strengthen relationships.

Develop processes for managing conferences, client entertainment and business development travel, ensuring client engagement and commercial outcomes are effectively captured and tracked.

Support digital campaigns and other business development initiatives designed to engage and acquire target clients, contributing ideas for new client acquisition opportunities.

Manage campaign budgets, monitor performance against KPIs and produce post-campaign reports with actionable recommendations and insights.

Maintain CRM and digital marketing systems, support pipeline and sales reporting, and work with wider BD teams on content, pitches, directory submissions and client retention activity.

The Candidate:

1–2 years’ experience in events, partnerships, sponsorships, sales, business development or a related role, with experience delivering activities that support client acquisition and measurable commercial outcomes.

Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, stakeholders and deadlines while taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

A proactive, commercially minded and creative individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and confidence using CRM, marketing automation and Microsoft Office systems. Experience within legal, venture capital, innovation or technology sectors is advantageous.
